Greetings and welcome to my little section of the website for Northern Hills Christian Church. My name is Todd Jefferson and I am presently the Worship Minister here at NHCC. Along with this I work with our young adult discipleship group where I have the pleasure of ministering to both college and career focused individuals.
I grew up in the Cincinnati area and for a while lived in Columbus. While in high school I met my wife to be, Emily, and shortly after my schooling we were married and have been blessed in our lives together for 12 years.
In June of 2002 God led me to Northern Hills to take on the position of Worship Leader. In doing so, He also helped to shape my understanding of worship and what role I was to play in leading people to His throne and into a closer relationship with Him. My desire here is to move beyond the music and ceremony of the church and help people see that worship is all about God. My goal is not to package great performances that will make people feel happy but rather to help motivate people to honestly present themselves to God with loving expressions of worship that are pleasing to Him. I am dedicated to the mission of self-sacrifice that is laid out in Romans 12:1-2 and hope that everyone who comes to NHCC will be challenged to move beyond the idea that worship only takes place on Sunday and into a daily lifestyle of worship.
In 2006 my position was changed slightly to meet the discipleship needs of our young adults. My goal is to not only lead and encourage these discipleship groups but to train up the next generation of leaders to carry on the mission of bringing people to maturity in Christ (2 Timothy 2:2, Colossians 1:28). I am looking forward to the way that these groups will impact not only the church but the community as they authentically follow the example of servanthood and love displayed by Jesus.
